At Minimal Gear, we like to go outdoors and the gear that we make is all about that:
making our adventures the best possible, simple, enjoyable, fulfilling and sustainable. A B-Corp certified company, our values are at the heart of what we do and are foundational to the decisions we make around our manufacturing process, supply chain, and relationships with our community and users.
Founded in the Spring of 2016 after our founder Gilad broke his last commercially made pair of trekking poles near Cnoc na-Gareig in the Scottish Highlands and decided to make his own. Gilad designed products, funded them through Kickstarter campaigns, and sold them from his garage as the company continued to grow.
Minimal Gear continues to make the gear we wish existed - now as a small team working on a family of brands in our Portland warehouse. You can learn more about the team that packs your orders, responds to your inquiries, and designs your products by heading to our team page.
Our Brands
Cnoc Outdoors makes hydration gear through cooperative innovation - our users are as involved in the design process as much as we are. Starting with our flagship product, the Vecto, we make hydration gear that simplifies your gear kit, allowing you to spend more time on the move in nature, or relaxing at camp with your friends.
Diorite Gear manufactures carbon fiber products including trekking poles, tent poles, and tent stakes - all designed with a minimalist approach and with the right to repair in mind. We design and make all our products in our Portland, OR facility, which gives us total ownership of our manufacturing process and allows us to create gear folks can feel good about taking on their next adventure.
Minimal Gear and our family of brands are all B-Corp certified, ensuring that we are accountable to what we belive in: we are not only a company, but a force of good.
