I waited a long time to get these food bags. I’m glad I waited. I love them. I will brag about them to my hiking buddies!
I like using this because most of the freeze dried food you buy in the stores is large and I like to break them down and put it in this.
One question can you put this in a microwave?
Thanks for your review, we're glad to hear you like the Buc! Our products, including the Buc, should not go in the microwave. Hope that helps, alwasy feel free to reach out to our support team at contact@cnocoutdoors.com with any questions!
Ordered Litesmith cold soak containers and the these little 2 cup CNOCs for cold soak meals. In the end, the CNOC made the pack-list as the Litesmiths just took up too much volume in our packs when not in use vs. the CNOC that folded flat.
The red plastic opening is really stiff to work with a first but mellows out. I gave them to one of my kids to flex for a while while watching YouTube before the trip.
The CNOC was a little fussier to clean, but some sand and agitation into the little corners with sea water did the trick.
Used them for overnight oats, smoothies and pudding-style deserts.
I'm not sure I'd like them for boiling water as it's easy to overfill them and only find out when you fold the seal -which would be bad with boiling water spilling.
I'd bring them again.
Good bag good quality, but too small for my needs.
After receiving delivery I immediately knew I had made a purchasing mistake. I should have listened to the bad reviews. The bag is poorly designed with its pleated bottom that makes it virtually impossible to get the corners clean; especially when fighting against the stiff closure mechanism to keep the bag open. And it is true that the bag opening cannot be turned down if there is food in the bag without making a complete mess. So, good luck holding the stiff closure open with one hand while you're spooning out food with the other. Don't make the same mistake I made. Listen to the bad reviews.
